In the realm of Pakistan's motorcycle market, Honda's CG125 has maintained its enduring popularity, standing as the undisputed leader despite the plethora of local brands. Known for its rugged looks, the CG125 is a great choice for daily commuting, even with the price hike and lack of significant feature updates or changes to its iconic frame.
Sticking to tradition, Japanese automotive company Atlas Honda unveiled the 2024 model of the Honda CG125. While the changes may seem fine, the company claims that the engine has improved by 77 and the frame by 42. Improvements include an increased compression ratio, an upgraded carburetor design for improved airflow, better pistons, a redesigned crankshaft assembly, and a new head and cylinder head.
Amid currency fluctuations, there were reports of a significant price cut by Atlas Honda for the Honda CG125, especially for the Gold variant, to a reportedly impressive Rs 38,500, and Rs 33,500 for the regular model. A decrease was observed. However, Atlas Honda later refuted these claims and provided a new price list, with the Honda CG125 priced at Rs 234,900 and the Gold/Self-Start edition at Rs 282,900.
In the recent environment of rising car prices, some car manufacturers including KIA and MG have taken steps to reduce the financial burden on Pakistani consumers. Despite the ups and downs of the market, the Honda CG125 remains a steadfast choice, not just a mode of transportation but a symbol of confidence on the roads of Pakistan.
