NADRA initiates the registration process for unregistered Afghan individuals

"Islamabad: On Monday, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) initiated the emergency registration of unregistered Afghan individuals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as reported by ARY News."

According to the spokesman, NADRA has collected 22 mobile vans from different parts of the country and deployed them at Lindi Kotal for the registration of Afghan citizens returning home.

At the transit point, they have set up 20 registration counters, where 140 NADRA employees work round the clock.  NADRA has increased its daily registration capacity to 15,000 from November 1, the spokesperson said.  Senior officers of NADRA are on the spot, providing assistance to the repatriated foreigners.

NADRA officials are taking special care that women, old people and children do not face any difficulties during this process.  Foreign nationals who have returned to Afghanistan have appreciated NADRA's efficient services.

6,584 undocumented Afghan nationals returned home in the last 24 hours.  Thousands of migrants are continuously leaving Pakistan through Chaman and Torkham border crossings with Afghanistan.

Temporary transit camps for illegal immigrants have been established in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

A large number of Afghan refugees entered Afghanistan on Sunday and thousands were waiting for their turn to enter Afghanistan at the Torkham border.

Authorities are facilitating the safe exit of foreign nationals after the deadline for illegal immigrants to stay in Pakistan expires.
