 One of Bangladesh's most successful all-rounders Shakib Al Hasan has revealed his career plans after the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.  He has indicated his retirement from all formats of the game after Champions League 2025, which is scheduled to be held in Pakistan.

    Regarding his international career, Shakib said that he is considering retiring from the ODI format after the 2025 Champions Trophy and the T20 format after the 2024 T20 World Cup.  He may also retire from Test cricket, possibly after the World Cup, with the idea of ​​retiring from all three formats simultaneously.

    Additionally, Shakib Al Hasan announced his decision to step down from the ODI captaincy of Bangladesh after the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.  He mentioned that he took over the captaincy considering the conditions of the team and agreed to continue leading the team for the sake of it.  of the team

    He made it clear that he resigned from the captaincy on 17 September but was later persuaded by the team management and Papon (Najmul Hasan Shanto) to continue as captain for the benefit of the team.

    Shakib-ul-Hasan is one of the most successful cricketers of Bangladesh, with 423 international caps to his name.  He has scored 14,220 runs including 14 centuries and 98 fifties and has taken 681 wickets with his brilliant bowling skills.  Despite his multiple stints as Bangladesh captain, he is yet to lead the team to an ICC title.
