24 carat gold price in Islamabad on Saturday increased by Rs 200 to Rs 214,600 per tola from Rs 214,400 during the previous business day. During the week, the price of the US dollar rose to Rs 284.31 from Rs 280.57 in the interbank market, while the price of the dollar rose to Rs 3.50 from Rs 281.50 in the open market.
The values of other foreign currencies also remained stable against the Pakistani rupee. The euro rose five rupees to Rs 302 and the pound gained Rs 3.5 to close at Rs 346.50. Saudi riyal increased by one rupee to Rs 75.50 to Rs 76.50 and UAE dirham increased by one rupee to Rs 80.20.
